This year’s Summer Academy based on interesting people “frae a’ airts and pairts” is now fully booked and delegates can look forward to an programme of talks and trips in and around various Glasgow sites, as well as an overnight trip to Culross and Dundee.
This will be the third 3Ls Summer Academy and we hope it will enjoy similar success to previous events.
The Centre for Lifelong Learning will be publishing the 2018/19 Daytime Programme very soon.
3Ls Students’ Association members can again enjoy the benefit of a short priority booking period from Monday 13 August to Thursday 16 August 2018.

The final Management Council meeting of the 2017/2018 session took place on 13th June, 2018.
The meeting considered various Office Bearer reports on recent activities including a visit to Dublin City University, the Treasure’s Financial Statement, plans for Social Outings and activities in 3Ls Clubs.
New representatives from The Architecture and Design, Spanish and Traditional Music Clubs have joined the Management Council for the new session.
3Ls Association Members are being encouraged to renew their Membership for 2018/2019 in time for the start of the new session and ahead of the Open Afternoon.
This is scheduled to take place in the Centre for Lifelong Learning on Wednesday 12th September, 2018, from 1.30pm – 3.30pm.
Emeritus Professor Donald Christie has taken up the role of Honorary Patron of the 3Ls Students’ Association.
Professor Christie is the former Head of The School of Education at Strathclyde University and following on from a distinguished career in Education he has continued to mentor and support research students and is involved in ongoing collaboration between Strathclyde and Nanjing Normal University in China.
We look forward to working with Professor Christie who will be sure to contribute much expertise to developments in the Association.
