This year the 3Ls will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary.
The association dates back to 1988 when students who had completed classes sought further opportunities to extend their learning and foster a social programme.
The idea of setting up a Students’ Association was supported and a caretaker Council worked on setting up the Association, leading to the first formal meetings in the spring of 1999.
A number of events are being programmed to mark 30 years of friendship and informal learning in 3Ls.
The varied programme of classes on offer at the Centre for Lifelong Learning commenced on Monday 1st October and there was a buzz around the building as students arrived for the 2018/2019 Session.
Students at CLL are eligible to join the 3Ls Students’ Association – do encourage your classmates to join the 3Ls if you are enjoying the benefits of Association membership!
A group of 3Ls Members thoroughly enjoyed a trip to Orvieto during September, when they sampled the architectural and culinary delights of this beautiful medieval walled town. Also included in the programme were trips to Lake Bolsena and the University town of Perugia.
