Our 2023 AGM was held on 16 June when Winnie Mallon, 3Ls President, reported on a good year during which our membership increased to over 640 and Clubs had enjoyed returning to regular meetings.
A busy fund-raising programme raised £6,500 in support of the Courtyard Pantry, our President's Charity.
Lunchtime Talks had proved popular again and a variety of interesting Social outings had been enjoyed. The newly formed Walking Group was going strong, with over 40 walks having been organised to date.
Gratitude was expressed to Nicola Bodys, who left her post as 3Ls Administrative Assistant during the year, for all her work in supporting our activities and especially in helping to keep us going during lockdown. Our current admin assistant, Lesley King, joined us in October and she is proving to be another real asset to the 3Ls team.
During the year, we launched our new website and our Steering Committee has met 5 times since the last AGM. Various Office Bearer vacancies were highlighted and volunteers to get involved in running the Association would be welcomed. Winnie thanked everyone involved in organising 3Ls activities over the year and looked forward to another busy year ahead.
