The Association of Education and Ageing Annual Conference was run jointly in October 2019 in Glasgow by the Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) and the AEA.
It included a morning round table discussion, AGM and afternoon event comprising an introduction to the Age Friendly Academy by Head of CLL Alix MacDonald, a workshop ‘Emotions in Later Life’ run by CLL tutor Dr Val Bissland and The Frank Glendenning Memorial Lecture delivered by Professor of Gerontology Dr Marvin Formosa, University of Malta – ’50 years of Older Adult Learning: Successes, Limitations and Promises.’ Marvin is editor of an academic book published this year entitled: ‘The University of the Third Age and Active Ageing’,
